Holland Water invites high-caliber providers of building (water) management services – from any country in the world – to become a national or regional distributor of HW watertech systems.
JA Resorts & Hotel Groups, operating five locations in the United Arab Emirates, conducted a year-long assessment in 2019 to measure the use of plastic water bottles among their guests. The findings revealed that an astonishing 1.7 million plastic bottles were consumed, with 1.4 million of these being 500ml bottles. To initiate an immediate reduction in CO2 emissions and environmental impact, JA Resorts & Hotel Groups decided to implement new water technology and bottling systems.
In the Netherlands and Belgium, we are accustomed to clean tap water due to the high-quality standards enforced by our water companies. However, tap water often doesn't have the same reliable reputation in many other countries, especially outside of Europe. As a result, bottled water is more widely accepted, leading to increased transportation and, consequently, more CO2 emissions and pollution. Plastic bottles and packaging also contribute to the growing plastic waste problem, which is unsustainable.
Clean and safe tap water helps eliminate environmentally harmful practices. Water-scarce countries like the United Arab Emirates are increasingly turning to water technology to keep tap water pure, free from chemical additives, and safe and pleasant to drink. This trend is becoming more noticeable in hotels and airports, where tap water from drinking fountains or reusable bottles increasingly competes with plastic packaging.
