Sint-Trudo Hospital

"As the technical manager at Sint-Trudo Hospital in Belgium, I'm always on the lookout for technologies that enhance our processes and save costs. Recently, I came across Holland Water and their water treatment system, HW Bifipro®," explains the Head of the Technical Services Department.

"This system not only provides added protection for water quality but also significantly helps us reduce gas costs by lowering the temperature of the hot water system. After a thorough investigation and a positive feasibility study, involving all relevant departments, we decided to implement this system. Following a detailed installation plan, we entered a calibration phase where we closely monitored all drinking water parameters and integrated the HW Bifipro® system into our existing safety measures. Regular flushing and maintenance of water outlets remain crucial to ensure the effectiveness of the copper and silver ions."

Temperature reduction for all buildings

He continues, "Once the results were positive, we stopped the nightly thermal shocks and gradually lowered the water temperature in a specific area of the hospital. After periodic checks, we further reduced the temperature across all buildings, all while maintaining comfort for the patients. Our water samples have remained consistently within safe limits."
